TRAVEL TIPS

Our goal is for you to enjoy your stay in Jiangsu as much as
possible. However, during these trying times, vigilance is pri-
mordial. Visitors are reminded that China has implemented the
"dynamic zero-COVID approach."

Ensure you have the necessary COVID-19 health checks in place
Follow the directions of authorities as to epidemic prevention
Carry a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination certificate, if available
Wear a face mask throughout your journey by plane, train or on any other public transport
Reserve suitable accommodation at a local hotel which accepts foreigners
Download and set up APPs useful for making mobile payments, e.g Alipay
Check the validity of your passport and China visa

Also Good to Know…

Foreigners do no longer require to get their train ticket in advance at most railway stations in Jiangsu. Station turn-
stiles are equipped with passport readers; buying a ticket online will suffice..
If you require a tax invoice for your train ticket, the paper ticket will suffice, and can be obtained in the ticket office.
Car -hailing platforms now have dedicated pick up spots at railway stations, usually in the car park. Car-hailing driv-
ers are not permitted to pick up passengers at the drop-off point.
Each metro system in Jiangsu has its own APP for seamless ticket purchase, which can be swiped at the barrier upon
exit and entry. Station staff will be happy to assist in setting up the APP if necessary. Many cities' metro systems also
accept payment by WeChat and/or Alipay.
